In Community class this term the Junior students practiced the skills they have been learning by preparing and organising a cafe.
The students worked together to plan and design a menu, buy ingredients, make food and beverages, sew aprons, organise order forms, set up the hall and put in place processes for effective trading.
All the planning came together last week when the students worked with each other to run a cafe for everyone in the school. Each person was given $10 to spend on any menu items and treated like a real customer in a real cafe.
The customers came away with smiles and full bellies after being looked after so beautifully by all the cafe staff.
